Identification:
- Pre 1998 – Red with centre BLACK band
- Post 1998 – Red with upper level BLACK band
Advantages:
Clean medium therefore minimal clean up after use. Ideal for use in an environment where there are computers or other sensitive electrical equipment.
Disadvantages:
Only limited effectiveness on Class A and Class B fires refer Suitability Guide below. Not very effective for use in out-door areas as wind will dissipate the CO2 very quickly.
Servicing:
Inspection and maintenance is to be performed at regular six monthly intervals as required by Australian Standard AS 1851 by an authorised or licenced contractor.

The EAC 2 / 2.0kg model is fitted with an adjustable swivel elbow assembly to allow discharge directly to the seat of a fire whilst the larger 3.5 and 5.0kg models are fitted with high pressure discharge hose and horn assemblies.
