Evacuation and Training
Australian Standard AS 3745 is the standard used in Australia for planning response to and management of emergency incidents in workplaces.
This standard specifies appropriate evacuation processes that should be adopted to ensure safety for occupants. Australian Standard AS4083 also exists which is specific to Health Care Facilities. Queensland also has the Building Fire Safety Regulation which places specific obligations on occupiers regarding emergency planning, evacuation management requirements, training in fire safety, and maintenance requirements for fire safety equipment and installations in buildings.
EVERSAFE Fire & Safety is a specialist fire and safety company dedicated to providing our clients with high quality, cost effective and innovative fire safety solutions across the complete range of Fire Protection Systems and Equipment. And with the introduction of the Building Fire Safety Regulation in Queensland there are now two levels of training required annually, First Response and General Evacuation Instruction and Evacuation Coordination Training.
We are able to offer these two courses combined into one session to make it more cost and time effective. We specialise in Emergency Management Training and have designed a course that encompasses the following:

- Physical Assault
- Armed Intrusion
By combining the above topics we are able to ensure compliance with a one-hour session with the Building Fire Safety Regulation and various components of the Workplace Health and Safety Act (Qld). The training is designed to meet both the Australian Standard 3745 and the Building Fire Safety Regulation.
Each of the participants will receive transfer of learning in:
- Understand human behaviour in emergencies
- Identify, prevent and report potential workplace emergency situations
- Ensure workplace emergency prevention procedures, systems and processes are implemented
- Respond to workplace emergencies
- Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- Confine small workplace emergencies
- Participate as a member of a workplace emergency initial response team
